A-linolenic acid is a necessary unsaturated fatty acid that can not be synthesized in vivo. In body, it converts to EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) & DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) by the catalyzing actions of enzymes and, both the two unsaturated fatty acids play an important role in keeping normal physiological actions.

Since 30’s last century, it took seventy years; scientists described a terrible figure of human who lacked of a-linolenic acid:

The FA Q (Food and Agricultural Organization) of UN (United nations) has accepted these research results, it has listed a-linolenic acid as one of the necessary foods of human dietary and popularized it all over the world. And then, Germany and Japan come to heel to apply patent claimed using a-linolenic acid and its derivants to prevent and treat cardiac-cerebral vascular diseases; America named it vitamine F and, it is widely used in the U.S.A

a-linolenic acid widely existed in algae, abyssal fish and shellfish. In terrestrial plants, linseed oil and clary sage essential oil also richly contain a-linolenic acid. Now, carbamide-embed method, freezing crystal method,Y-zeolite separating method and SFE are widely used in the extracting.of a-linolenic acid, hereinto, carbamide-embed method is more popular.

My factory developed a new method of my own to extract a-linolenic acid from linseed oil by molecular distillation. After multi-grade distillations, the purity of a-linolenic acid can reaches to 80% and, the poly-unsaturated fatty acid can reaches to 99.7%. It is glittering and translucent and has no any solvent residua in it.

Due to unsaturated fatty acid can be oxidated easily in air, so the anti-oxidation process of linolenic acid is a big problem for the industries. But, this trouble is unlabored for molecular distillation technology.

Separating different elements according to their different boiling points is the character of molecular distillation. In order to keep the physical charactesr of active ingredient, a vacuum condition is necessary. The high vacuum can lowers the boiling point of active ingredient and, keeps all the processes avoiding oxygen. So, the anti-oxidation process of linolenic acid is not a problem for us.

Also,.my linolenic acid product is tight nitrogen-filling packed, so as to my product can not be oxidated in a long shelf life. Adding no anti-oxidation agents, my product is most pure and natural.
